Empowering Women in Community Centers

Description 

An empowerment program for women in community centers in south Tel Aviv.

The Challenge 

The program's leaders wanted to find out if the program was achieving its goals and how to attract more women to expand the program.

                                                                                                                                  My involvement

A survey of the participants that examined the extent of their social involvement and their sense of ability to improve their lives and their income. The survey analysis the data and the final report served as a basis for discussion on what to improve and what to maintain in the program.

The social impact 

  • Use of data as a tool for learning and improving the solutions provided to the group of women.
  • Improving the lives of women and their families. Supporting these women in promoting their status in various fields (education, income, parenthood) and their social involvement.

The economic impact 

  • The improvement of the program led to progress in economic and social ability of these women and their families, which led to a reduction the burden on welfare services.
  • Impact for community centers: recruiting employees and retaining them in the system because of the significant social purpose. The women's positive attitude to municipal work.
