Monitoring of child and Youth care services

Description

The Department of Child and Youth Care in Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality which handles youth at risk of dropping out of school or with criminal behavior.

The Challenge

An incomplete database caused some of the youth not to be addressed.

My involvement

As part of my work at the Tel-Aviv Municipality, I led an analysis of the treatment process for each youth, defining success indicators for the process and built tools for managing, monitoring and controlling the database of youth at risk in the city.

The social impact

  • Use of data: periodic joint meetings of education and welfare systems about context of the accumulated data.
  • Impact for the municipality New Cooperation between therapeutic and educational systems for updating the database and determining monitoring and control activities.
  • No youth falls between the cracks. Improving the lives of the youth and the community in the neighborhoods.

                                                                                                                        The economic impact

  • Economic benefit: directing youth at risk to a more positive path and planning their future leads to a reduction in crime and attracting stronger populations to neighborhoods.
